Character Library Crashing Storyline

When I try to download and insert new assets from the 360 library of characters, I frequently find that inserting the character causes the whole application to hang indefinitely. I am typically forced to End Task via Task Manager then remove and re-download the assets, often with success on the second or third try. Even after that, asset previews are distorted.
